Once Again, The Holy Spirit.

Justamente antes de su pasión, el Señor confortó a sus discípulos diciendo: (Juan 14:1) No se turbe vuestro corazón. Creéis en Dios: creed también en mí. ,2 En la casa de mi Padre hay muchas mansiones; si no, os lo habría dicho; porque voy a prepararos un lugar. ,3 Y cuando haya ido y os haya preparado un lugar, volveré y os tomaré conmigo, para que donde esté yo estéis también vosotros. ,4 Y adonde yo voy sabéis el camino.
Jesús es el Camino al Padre
04 Ya conocen el camino del lugar adonde voy».05 Tomás le dijo: «Señor, no sabemos adónde vas. ¿Cómo vamos a conocer el camino?».06 Jesús le respondió: «Yo soy el Camino, la Verdad y la Vida. Nadie va al Padre, sino por mí.07 Si ustedes me conocen, conocerán también a mi Padre. Ya desde ahora lo conocen y lo han visto».
Si leemos el pasaje anterior con calma y mucho cuidado, no necesitamos de mas explicación, pues está muy claro; deberíamos de ser capaces de experimentar la paz de Dios en nuestro corazón, por el sólo hecho de saber que nuestro Señor está esperando por nosotros allá en el cielo; no tenemos que buscar mas la verdad, pues el Señor nos ha revelado, no que es la verdad, sino, “quién” es, la verdad; el Maestro nos ha mostrado la forma de vivir nuestra vida, lo cual es mantener nuestra mirada en Jesús; en el siguiente párrafo aprenderemos como incrementar la vida.
Jesús promete darnos el Espíritu Santo
(Juan 14:15) Si ustedes me piden algo en mi Nombre, yo lo haré. 15 Si ustedes me aman, cumplirán mis mandamientos. 16 Y yo rogaré al Padre, y él les dará otro Paráclito para que esté siempre con ustedes: 17 el Espíritu de la Verdad, a quien el mundo no puede recibir, porque no lo ve ni lo conoce. Ustedes, en cambio, lo conocen, porque él permanece con ustedes y estará en ustedes.
18 No los dejaré huérfanos, volveré a ustedes. 19 Dentro de poco el mundo ya no me verá, pero ustedes sí me verán, porque yo vivo y también ustedes vivirán. 20 Aquel día comprenderán que yo estoy en mi Padre, y que ustedes están en mí y yo en ustedes. 21. El que recibe mis mandamientos y los cumple, ese es el que me ama; y el que me ama será amado por mi Padre, y yo lo amaré y me manifestaré a él».
Si visitamos los mejores museos del mundo, encontraremos que aunque ahí tengan las mejores pinturas, esculturas y obras de arte que el hombre puede concebir; pero si
nosotros no sabemos nada sobre las bellas artes, no podremos apreciar y aun ver la belleza que se encontraría, justamente frente a nosotros. La persona que no tiene el Espíritu Santo dentro de sí, no puede aceptarlo, ni mucho menos conocerlo.Un individuo puede ser graduado en Teología, pero aun así nunca podrá entender y reconocer al Espíritu Santo, quien no se revela por medio del conocimiento o entrenamiento intelectual de la persona, sino, por la fe en el Hijo de Dios y la humildad del corazón.
Noten como, la prueba de amor al Señor no es sólo decir de boca, 'amo a Jesús', sino mas bien, por medio de cumplir con los mandamientos; si cumplimos con los mandamientos y normas del Señor, el pedirá al Padre que nos de “el otro ayudante”, quien se quedará con nosotros para siempre. El Espíritu de la verdad, nos revelará a Jesús, hasta entonces lo conoceremos de forma íntima; el Espíritu de adopción nos dará a conocer al Padre, y cuando oremos, lo haremos en espíritu y en verdad.
El Otro “Otro”
Es importante que regresemos por un momento al versículo 16 del párrafo anterior, y asegurarnos de que entendemos de que la palabra Griega usada en el manuscrito original del libro de Juan, no fue la palabra 'hetero', la cual se traduce “otro de diferente clase”. De la palabra 'hetero' tenemos los términos como, heterosexual (o de diferente sexo); heterogéneo que significa algo que contiene partes disimilares, por ejemplo, mi taza de café (la mezcla en mi taza) esta compuesta, de café, azúcar y leche; heterocromático (de muchos colores).
En Español, no tenemos otra palabra, o sinónimo de 'otro', por ejemplo: si un joven se aparece manejando un bonito carro, y lo complementamos por ello, nos podría contestar: “saben, tengo otro de estos en mi casa.”
No podemos saber si por lo que contestó, quiere decir que tiene otro carro idéntico, de la misma marca y modelo, o que si también es propietario de otro carro, de diferente marca y modelo; a menos que él nos lo explique.
La frase utilizada en el texto Griego es “allos parakleo”. Aquí en vez del término 'hetero' se ha usado el término Griego 'allos' que se traduce “otro de la misma clase” o sea idéntico; lo que quiere decir que cuando el Señor promete enviarnos al “otro ayudante” (Parakleto: ayudante, abogado, consejero), nos está diciendo que vendrá 'otro' exactamente igual a él, y no una fuerza a como enseñan ciertas denominaciones por ahí; lo que demuestra que ellos han mal interpretado el Griego original o, ni siquiera han visto los manuscritos antiguos.
Los TJs están completamente errados, al confundir a la tercera persona de la Santísima Trinidad, como una fuerza, semejante a la electricidad.
Cuando la Escritura se refiere al Espíritu Santo como la fuerza de Dios, no quiere decir que el Espíritu es una 'cosa', pero, mejor les doy un ejemplo: cuando un hombre dice que la razón de su vida es su familia, no quiere decir que si le quitan a la familia, perderá su razón, quizás, se pondrá confundido y decepcionado, pero conservará su razón; lo que él nos quiere decir, es que lo que lo motiva y empuja a luchar en la vida es su esposa y su hijos.
Mi esposa es 'mi vida', sin embargo ella no es una cosa, sino una guapísima y adorable mujer de carne hueso. Estamos claros?
En el versículo 18 el Señor nos dice que “no nos dejara huérfanos”, porqué? Porque después de su partida nos enviara al Espíritu Santo, quien es Dios igual al Padre y al Hijo o sea un “allos parakleo”; es cosa fascinante como podemos ver aquí a la Santa Trinidad en acción, trabajando en unísono por el bien de los escogidos de Dios, la Iglesia del Señor.
Podemos ver aquí cómo el plan eterno de Dios se desarrolla a la vista de todos, ven cómo cada miembro de la Santa Trinidad juega un papel único, importante y coordinado de forma perfecta; el Padre decreta la creación del universo y del hombre, y aunque él permite ( no causa) el pecado por medio de la libre voluntad del hombre; decreta a la vez que sólo por medio de un sacrificio perfecto se puede borrar la penalidad del pecado.
En el Credo decimos: “Por él (Jesús) todas las cosas fueron creadas”, (Génesis 1:1) En el principio, cuando Dios creó los cielos y la tierra,02 todo era confusión y no había nada en la tierra. Las tinieblas cubrían los abismos mientras el espíritu de Dios aleteaba sobre la superficie de las aguas. 03 Dijo Dios: «Haya luz», y hubo luz. Tenemos que ligar el pasaje anterior con el siguiente, para ver claramente el porqué de la frase anterior en el Credo.
(Juan 1:1) Al principio existía la Palabra, y la Palabra estaba junto a Dios, y la Palabra era Dios. 02 Al principio estaba junto a Dios. 03 Todas las cosas fueron hechas por medio de la Palabra y sin ella no se hizo nada de todo lo que existe (Credo) .04 En ella estaba la vida, y la vida era la luz de los hombres.05 La luz brilla en las tinieblas, y las tinieblas no la percibieron. Si le preguntamos a una niña, ¿cuánto es dos mas dos? Con seguridad nos contestará, cuatro! Y así de fácil relacionamos los dos pasajes anteriores para saber que Jesús es la causa de todo lo que existe.
La Santísima Trinidad
(Génesis 1:1) leemos que Dios estaba en el principio y después unas lineas mas adelante se nos dice que: “el espíritu de Dios aleteaba sobre la superficie de las aguas.” Y después “Dijo Dios: «Haya luz» (Dios habló, expresó la Palabra), y quien es la Palabra de Dios? Entonces concluimos que tenemos aquí una foto familiar de la Santísima Trinidad (Dios Padre, Hijo y Espíritu Santo), precisamente al comienzo del tiempo y de la Biblia.
Continuando en la misma línea de pensamiento, vemos cómo el Hijo es la fuente de provisión, y últimamente también el sacrificio perfecto; por ahora el papel del Espíritu es el de aplicar por medio del Bautismo y la Confirmación (que veremos en el siguiente capítulo de esta serie), el rescate a todos aquellos que crean en el Hijo de Dios; desde el momento que Cristo ascendió al cielo, el Espíritu fue enviado a convivir con nosotros y en nosotros, para completar el plan de salvación de Dios. Bendito sea Dios!
Porqué digo que el Espíritu fue enviado a “convivir con nosotros y en nosotros”? Simplemente porque Emmanuel ha enviado a su Espíritu como en reemplazo suyo, por lo tanto podemos decir que Dios está con nosotros, y si el Espíritu está en nosotros, estaremos protegidos de cualquier posesión diabólica, porque si no tenemos el Espíritu de Dios en nosotros, cualquier otro espíritu tomará residencia en nuestro corazón (mente, alma, espíritu y persona).
Para comprender mejor esto que digo vayamos de nuevo al versículo de (Juan 14:17) “el Espíritu de la Verdad, a quien el mundo no puede recibir, porque no lo ve ni lo conoce. Ustedes, en cambio, lo conocen, porque él permanece con ustedes y estará en ustedes. Después agreguemos el versículo 20: “Aquel día comprenderán que yo estoy en mi Padre, y que ustedes están en mí y yo en ustedes.”
Si alguna vez han oído a alguien decir que es imposible para una persona vivir en otra persona, uds. has sido testigos de la ignorancia de una secta, que niega el 'misterio' de la Santa Trinidad y la divinidad de Cristo; uds. pueden estar absolutamente seguros de que la persona del Espíritu Santo puede residir en sus corazones, y si tienen alguna duda, solamente recuerden las muchas veces que el Señor expulsó a los demonios de la persona de mucha gente poseida como en: (Mateo4:24); (Mateo 8:16); (Marco 5:1); (Lucas 8:26) y en muchas otras ocasiones a como pueden leer en los Evangelios.
Recuerden también que el Señor dio a sus discípulos el poder de echar fuera de los pecadores a cualquier demonio, y de tener dominio sobre ellos; de manera que si los demonios puedes posesionarse de una persona, porqué no el Espíritu de Dios podrá hacer lo mismo? O se les olvida que para Dios, no hay nada imposible? Pues piénsenlo bien.
(Juan 16:7) Sin embargo, les digo la verdad: les conviene que yo me vaya, porque si no me voy, el Paráclito no vendrá a ustedes. Pero si me voy, se lo enviaré. 08 Y cuando él venga, probará al mundo dónde está el pecado, dónde está la justicia y cuál es el juicio. 09 El pecado está en no haber creído en mí. 10 La justicia, en que yo me voy al Padre y ustedes ya no me verán. 11 Y el juicio, en que el Príncipe de este mundo ya ha sido condenado. 12 Todavía tengo muchas cosas que decirles, pero ustedes no las pueden comprender ahora.
13 Cuando venga el Espíritu de la Verdad, él los introducirá en toda la verdad, porque no hablará por sí mismo, sino que dirá lo que ha oído y les anunciará lo que irá sucediendo. 14 El me glorificará, porque recibirá de lo mío y se lo anunciará a ustedes. El Espíritu ha sido manifestado al mundo entero, cualquier persona que deseche al Espíritu habrá cometido el pecado mas grande, conocido como el 'pecado imperdonable', o también como el pecado contra el Espíritu Santo.
El Espíritu de la verdad no puede mentir, él es fidedigno en grado superlativo, por eso los que quieran caminar a la par del Espíritu o decirse poseídos del Espíritu, deben de estar completamente limpios de toda falsedad, hipocresía, envidia, lujuria, avaricia, arrogancia o cualquier pecado que destruya nuestra integridad; nadie puede creer que está bajo la influencia del Espíritu, si conscientemente distorsiona la verdad en un esfuerzo torpe de beneficiarse personalmente o de proteger a alguien mas.
La Verdad nos llega del Espíritu por medio de Hombres Débiles
La Iglesia, guiada por el Espíritu Santo, no enseña las verdades concernientes a Dios y su plan salvífico, el cual está aun desarrollándose y llevándose a cabo, y el cual quizás se encuentra ya en su etapa final, la verdad, no sabemos; sin embargo, las lecciones del Espíritu se nos siguen entregando por parte de hombres designados por Dios, o sea, nuestros líderes religiosos.
(2 Pedros 1:18) Nosotros mismos escuchamos esa voz venida del cielo estando con él en el monte santo.19 A consecuencia de esto creemos más firmemente en el mensaje de los profetas, y deben tenerlo como una lámpara que luce en un lugar oscuro, hasta que se levante el día y el lucero de la mañana brille en sus corazones.
20 Sépanlo bien: ninguna profecía de la Escritura puede ser interpretada por cuenta propia, 21 pues ninguna profecía ha venido por iniciativa humana, sino que los hombres de Dios han hablado movidos por el Espíritu Santo. Esta última frase tambien es parte del Credo.
(Non Serviam!--Yo no Serviré!) He oído a muchas personas quejarse contra la jerarquia de la Iglesia, y de oponerse a sus enseñanzas; de acuerdo a la sabiduría de estos 'quejistas', las leyes de la Iglesia son hechas por hombre imperfectos, quienes después de todo son tan pecadores como cualquiera de nosotros; entonces porqué someterse a su autoridad? Ellos (los curas) no comprenden mi estilo de vida, no quieren que goce mi vida a como mejor me parezca. No reconozco ninguna ley de esos curas y rechazo cualquier religión organizada. Serviré a Dios a mi manera, y no de ninguna otra forma!
A cualquier persona que piense de esta manera, le recomiendo que lea el versículo anterior de (2 Pedro 1:19) 10 veces al día : “hasta que se levante el día y el lucero de la mañana brille en sus corazones.” En otras palabras hasta que la luz del Espíritu Santo atraviese su cabecita (cráneo), y el amor de Cristo ablande sus corazones de piedra. Por favor, no entristezcan al Espíritu, pues es como estar al borde de un peligroso abismo; lean su Biblia, oren frente al Santísimo, arrepiéntanse de sus pecados, confiésense pronto y confíen en Dios.
(Isaia 14:12) ¿Cómo caíste desde el cielo, estrella brillante (Lucifer), hijo de la Aurora? ¿Cómo tú, el vencedor de las naciones, has sido derribado por tierra? 13 En tu corazón decías: «(Yo) Subiré hasta el cielo y (Yo) levantaré mi trono encima de las estrellas de Dios, (Yo) me sentaré en la montaña donde se reúnen los dioses, allá donde el norte se termina; 14 (Yo) subiré a la cumbre de las nubes, (Yo) seré igual al Altísimo.»
15 Mas, ¡ay!, has caído en las honduras del abismo, en el lugar adonde van los muertos. 16 Los que te ven se fijan en ti y dicen al verte: «Este es el hombre
que espantaba a la tierra, que hacía temblar a los reinos, 17 que convertía al mundo en un desierto, que destruía las ciudades y nunca abría la cárcel a sus presos.» Pobre Diablo, se llenó de soberbia, vanidad y arrogancia, se olvidó que el orgullo precede a la caída, (Proverbios 11:2)Junto con la arrogancia llega la ingnominia, pero la sabiduría está con los humildes. Que Dios nos libre del espiritu diabólico de la megalomanía, del creernos el centro del universo, del creer que hemos nacido para ser servidos, en vez de aceptar que hemos nacido para servir a Dios y los hermanos.
Cierta vez, dijo un sabio hombre de Dios: "muchos rechazan a Dios y su ley, principalmente porque interfieren con su estilo de vida inmoral; las leyes de Dios los declaran culpables y sus conciencia los acusa, entonces para sentir alivio de ello, simplemente lo que hacen es negar a Dios y su ley". Son iguales que el avestruz que esconde la cabeza en la tierra, para sentirse protegida del peligro.
Nuestra Alma poseé el Espíritu Santo u otro espíritu
Si no tenemos el Espíritu Santo en nuestro corazón, tendremos entonces el espíritu del mundo, tristemente, podríamos también terminar llevando en nuestro pecho el espíritu del 'enemigo'; (Mateo 12:43) Cuando el espíritu malo sale del hombre, empieza a recorrer lugares áridos, buscando un sitio de descanso, y no lo encuentra.
44 Entonces se dice: Volveré a mi casa de donde salí. Al llegar la encuentra desocupada, bien barrida y ordenada.45 Se va, entonces, y regresa con otros siete espíritus peores que él, entran y se quedan allí. La nueva condición de la persona es peor que la primera, y esto es lo que le va a pasar a esta generación perversa.»
A todos uds. buenos padres de la tierra, les pido que por favor mantengan una buena supervisión sobre los juegos de video y los programas de TV que están influenciando a sus niños; el Diablo está utilizando cualquier oportunidad para corromper el alma de los chavalos (muchachos), los medios de hoy en día (radio, TV, periódicos ,revistas, celulares, juegos de video, el cine, y la internet), son el mejor instrumento para robar la inocencia y virtud de los jóvenes del mundo entero.
Las mentes jóvenes son el terreno mas fértil para sembrar nuevas ideas, asegúrense de plantar en ellos el temor a Dios (la doctrina de la vida), buenos hábitos, virtudes y buenos valores, así ellos, no se corromperán. (Proverbios 22:6) Inicia (entrena) al niño en el camino que debe seguir, y ni siquiera en su vejez se apartará de él.
El Espíritu Santo nos da el Espíritu de adopción, recuerden de nuevo la promesa del Señor de no dejarnos huérfanos (Romanos 8:14) Todos los que son conducidos por el Espíritu de Dios son hijos de Dios. 15 Y ustedes no han recibido un espíritu de esclavos para volver a caer en el temor, sino el espíritu de hijos adoptivos, que nos hace llamar a Dios 16 El mismo espíritu se une a nuestro espíritu para dar testimonio de que somos hijos de Dios.
17 Si somos hijos, también somos herederos, herederos de Dios y coherederos de Cristo, porque sufrimos con él para ser glorificados con el. Alégrense hermanos, pues somos co-herederos con Cristo el Señor.
Porqué el rechazo al Espíritu Santo?
¿Porqué tanta gente rechaza la oferta del regalo de Dios? Quizás sea porque están controlados por el espíritu de esclavitud; nosotros como Católicos, debemos de orar por todos nuestros hermanos que viven esclavos de las adicciones, y no sólo adicción a las drogas, alcohol, tabaco y pornografía, sino también, a toda clase de pecado como la soberbia, un corazón duro a la palabra de Dios, sed de poder, inmoralidad de toda clase, envidia, odio, etc.
(1 Corintios 2:11) ¿Quién puede conocer lo más íntimo del hombre, sino el espíritu del mismo hombre? De la misma manera, nadie conoce los secretos de Dios, sino el Espíritu de Dios. 12 Y nosotros no hemos recibido el espíritu del mundo, sino el Espíritu que viene de Dios, para que reconozcamos los dones gratuitos que Dios nos ha dado.
13 Nosotros no hablamos de estas cosas con palabras aprendidas de la sabiduría humana, sino con el lenguaje que el Espíritu de Dios nos ha enseñado, expresando en términos espirituales las realidades del Espíritu. 14 El hombre puramente natural no valora lo que viene del Espíritu de Dios: es una locura para él y no lo puede entender, porque para juzgarlo necesita del Espíritu.
15 El hombre espiritual, en cambio, todo lo juzga, y no puede ser juzgado por nadie.
16 Porque ¿quién penetró en el pensamiento del Señor, para poder enseñarle? Pero nosotros tenemos el pensamiento de Cristo.
Debemos de tener la mente de Cristo, para poder aceptar la realidad del Espíritu Santo, sabemos que el establecimiento de la Iglesia de Dios está supuesta a ser completado por medio de la guiá del Espíritu Santo, quizás por eso el Señor nos dijo que el Espíritu de la verdad nos enseñaría todas las cosas necesarias, y nos explicaría lo que antes no pudimos entender (cuando el estuvo aquí con nosotros).
El mundo se resiste a aceptar la doctrina Cristiana, porque la consideran tontería, en cambio, el mundo sigue a sus propios profetas, muchos de ellos les gusta llamarse 'filósofos', otros son 'animadores de shows hablados'; algunos son entendidos en psicología, y otros son predicadores del éxito fácil.
'El hombre puramente natural', o sea que carece del Espíritu, no puede entender lo que significa el vivir por el honor de Cristo, precisamente porque no es del mismo espíritu que un Cristiano; ese hombre natural no puede entender las Escrituras, ni tampoco los principios espirituales que gobiernan la Iglesia, aunque, sí pueda leer las Escrituras, como pura literatura, es incapaz de aplicar las enseñanzas que se encuentran en ellas, por faltarle la fe, y el amor a Cristo.
A Dios bendito sea el honor el poder y la gloria, por los siglos de los siglos, Amen!

Just before his passion, our Lord comforted his disciples saying: (John 14:1) “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. 2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place where I am going.”
Jesus is the way to the Father
Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?”
6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”
If we read the above passage carefully and slowly, we don't need much explanation; we should be able to experience the peace of God in our hearts, by knowing that our Lord is in heaven waiting for us to come to Him; we don't need to look for the truth anywhere else, because, He has already told us, not what is the truth, but, “who” is the truth; the Master has also described for us the way to live our lives, which is by looking at Jesus, and we will in a moment find out, just in the next paragraph how we can increase life.
Jesus promises the Holy Spirit
...(vers.15) “If you love me, keep my commands. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.
19 Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. 20 On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. 21 Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.”
We could go to the best museums in the world, and even when they have the best paintings, sculptures and works of art that man could ever conceive; but, if we don't know anything about the fine arts, we won't be able to appreciate or see the beauty in front of us. The person who doesn't have the Holy Spirit in him, can not accept him neither know him; a person could even have a degree in Theology, but still, he/she won't be able to understand and know the Holy Spirit, because the Holy Spirity could only be known through the Christian love, faith in God and a humble heart.
Notice that the proof of love to the Lord, is not by just saying with our mouth, “I love Jesus”, but instead, by keeping his commands; if we keep the Lord's commands, he will ask the Father to give us “another advocate”, who will stay with us forever. The Spirit of truth will reveal to us Jesus, the Spirit of adoption will make us know the Father; and when we pray, we will truly worship God in spirit and in truth.
The other another
It is important to go back to verse 16 above to make sure that we understand that the Greek word used in the Greek text, is not the word “heteros” which means “another of a different kind”. From the word (hetero) we get words like heterosexual (or from different sex); heterogeneous which means containing dissimilar parts, heterochromatic (of many colors).
In English we only have the words 'another' or 'other', which don't give us enough clues about what are we are talking about, for example, if a man comes driving a nice car, and we praise him for it, he might say: “oh, you know, I have another one at home.”
By what he just said , we don't know if he has another car identical to the one he is driving now, or a different kind of car, unless, he explains it to us.
The word used in the Greek text for the phrase “another advocate” is: allos parakleo. Here instead of the Greek word 'hetero', they used the word 'allos' which translates from the Greek as " another one of the same kind"; which means, that Jesus will send another 'advocate' (lawyer, counselor ,comforter, paraclete) just like himself, not a force, like some denomination wrongly preaches to their followers, but, it is because maybe they don't understand the Greek text at all.
This proves once and for all, that the JWs are wrong when the teach that the Holy Spirit is not a person, but, just a force.
When the Scripture describes the Holy Spirit as the power of God, it doesn't mean, that the Spirit is a thing, but, let me give you an example to make this clear. When a man says that his strength is his wife and children, he doesn't mean that if he looses them he will be a weak man without any strength at all; he might go crazy of pain (emotionally), but, what he is really telling us, is that his family is what drives him and inspires him to do all the things he does.
I call my wife, 'my life', but, she is not a thing, she is an adorable and lovely woman, is this clear?
In vers. 18 the Lord tells us that he “won't leave us orphans”, why? Because, after his departure, God will send us his Holy Spirit, who is equally God as the Father and as Jesus is; it is remarkable how we can see here the Holy Trinity in action, working in unison for the good of the chosen ones, the Church.
We could see here the eternal plan of God unfolding before our eyes, it is as if every member of the Holy Trinity has a specific role to play, we can see the Father decreeing the Creation of the universe and of man, and even though he allowed (not cause it) the committing of sin through the free will of man, he also decreed that only by a perfect sacrifice could the penalty of sin be avoided.
As we say in the Creed, 'through Jesus all things were created,' (Genesis 1:1) In the beginning God created heaven, and earth. [2] And the earth was void and empty, and darkness was upon the face of the deep; and the spirit of God moved over the waters. [3] And God said: Be light made. And light was made. We have to correlate the above passage with the following one to see clearly why the Creed expresses Jesus as the cause of everything.
[1] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. [2] The same was in the beginning with God. [3] All things were made by him: and without him was made nothing that was made. [4] In him was life, and the life was the light of men. [5] And the light shineth in darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. If you ask a young child what is two plus two?, she'll promptly answer, four! That's exactly how, we easily added the two previous passages.
The Holy Trinity
Looking at verse 3 of the last paragraph, we find the expression: “All things were made by him:and without him was made nothing that was made”, that we inserted in our Creed. Now, in (Genesis 1:1) We find "God in the beginning", then we run into “and the Spirit of God moved over the waters” and then “And God said:Be light made" (the Word of God) he has spoken, and who is the Word of God? So what do we have here? The Holy Trinity, right at the very beginning of time and of the Bible.
So, continuing with our train of thought, we see that the Son is the source of provision, and ultimately the perfect sacrifice for sin; at present the role of the Spirit is to apply (through Baptism and Confirmation) that rescue to those who believe in the Son; the moment Christ ascends into heaven, the Spirit is sent to dwell with us and abide in us, to complete the plan of God of salvation. Blessed be God!
Why did I say, 'is sent to dwell with us, and abide in us?' Because Emmanuel has sent the Spirit as his replacement, so we could say that God is with us, and if the Spirit of God abides in us, we will be safe from any diabolical possession; all you have to do is to go back to 'vers.17' from John 14 and read: “But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.” Then add 'vers.20': “On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.” Here, we can see how the whole Holy Trinity will come to reside in our heart.
If you have ever heard someone saying that is impossible for a person to indwell in another person, you have witness the ignorance of a sect, that denies the 'mystery' of the Holy Trinity and the divinity of Christ; you can be absolutely sure, that the Spirit of God, can reside in the heart of the believers, and if you have any doubts about it, just remember the many times that Christ the Lord, expelled demons from people who were possessed, as in (Matt. 4:24); (Matt. 8:16); (Mark 5:1); (Mark1:32) and (Luke 8:26) and many other times, as you could confirm, if, you read the Gospels.
So, if the demons can possess a person, why can the Holy Spirit do the same thing? Or do we forget that, with God nothing is impossible ? Well, think again.
(John 16:7) “But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. 8 When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment: 9 about sin, because people do not believe in me; 10 about righteousness, because I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer; 11 and about judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned.”
12 “I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. 13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. 14 He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you. 15 All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you.”
The Spirit will be manifested to the whole world, and those who reject him, will commit the greatest sin of all, the one known as the unforgivable sin: the sin against the Holy Spirit.
The Spirit of truth can not lie, he is absolutely trustworthy, that's why those who want to stay in step with the spirit, should clean themselves of any falsehood, hypocrisy, jealousy, lust, avarice or any other sin that destroys our integrity; nobody can hope to be under the influence of the Spirit, if he/she is consciously distorting the truth in a misguided effort to protect themselves or someone else.
The Church teaches us, guided by the Holy Spirit, and as we have already said, the plan of God is still developing, and maybe it is already in its final phase; but never the less, the teachings of the Holy Spirit are brought to us by the men of God, our religious leaders; (2 Peter 1: 19) We also have the prophetic message as something completely reliable, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.
20 Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation of things. 21 For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
(Non Serviam!-I will not serve!) Quite often I have heard , people who complain against the hierarchy of the Church, and resist to obey them, because according to the complainers' wisdom; the laws of the Church are made by imperfect human beings who after all, are a bunch of sinners themselves; so why should we heed to their authority? They (the priests) don't understand my life style, they don't want me to enjoy my life as I see fit. I resist and reject any laws from those priests and I do not accept any organized religion, I'll serve God, my way, and no other way!
To any person who thinks that way, I would recommend to read the last Bible verse (2 Peter1:19), 10 times a day, until, “the day dawns and the morning star rises in his/her heart.” In other words, until, the light of the Holy Spirit shines through their motorcyclist helmet (skull), and the love of Jesus soften their stony hearts. Please, don't sadden the Spirit of truth, your are dangerously standing on the edge of a great abyss, read your Bible, pray in front of the Holy Sacrament, repent, confess your sins and trust God.
(Isaiah 14:12) How you have fallen from heaven,
morning star (Lucifer) , son of the dawn!
You have been cast down to the earth,
you who once laid low the nations!
13 You said in your heart,
“I will ascend to the heavens;
I will raise my throne
above the stars of God;
I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly,
on the utmost heights of Mount Zaphon.
14 I will ascend above the tops of the clouds;
I will make myself like the Most High.”
15 But you are brought down to the realm of the dead,
to the depths of the pit.
Poor Devil, he was full of haughtiness, vanity and arrogance he forgot that pride precedes the fall (Proverbs 11:2) When pride comes, then comes disgrace,
but with humility comes wisdom. May God save us from the evil spirit of megalomania and egotism, and to believe that we are the center of the universe, don't let us believe that we were born to be serve, but, to serve God and the brethren.
A wise and knowledgeable man God once said: Many people reject God and his laws, mainly because they interfere with their immoral life style; the laws of God convict them and their conscience accuse them, so to feel relieve of all of it, they just ignore and denied God and his Holy Law.
If we don't have the Holy Spirit in our hearts, we'll have the spirit of the world, and sadly enough, we could end up having the spirit of the 'enemy': (Matt. 12:43) “When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. 44 Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order. 45 Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first. That is how it will be with this wicked generation.”
To all of you good parents of the world, please keep an eye on the kind of video games and TV programs that your children are been influenced by; the devil is using every opportunity to corrupt the soul of your little ones, and today's media (radio,TV, papers, magazines, cellulars, video games, the internet) is the perfect venue to rob the innocence and virtue from all the young people on earth.
Young minds are the best kind of fertile ground, so be sure we plant good things and good seed in them; make sure you plant in them the fear of the Lord (the doctrine of life), good habits, virtues and good values, and they won't go astray that easily. (Proverbs 22:6) Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.
The Holy Spirit gives us the right or gift of adoption, remember again that, the Lord told us that he would not leave us orphans (Romans 8:14) For those who are led by the Spirit of God, are the children of God. 15 The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” 16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.
17 Now if we are children, then we are heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. Aren't you happy to know that we are co-heirs with Christ?
Why do so many people still reject the offering of the gift of God? Maybe because they are controlled by a spirit of bondage; it is our Catholic duty to pray for all our brothers and sisters that live a life of addiction, not only addiction to drugs, alcohol, cigarettes and pornography, but, to all kind of sin, like haughtiness, gossip, cold-hearted to the word of God, power hunger, immorality of all sort, envy, hatred, etc.
(1 Corinthians 2:11) The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. 11 For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. 12 What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us. 13 This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words.
14 The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. 15 The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments, 16 for, “Who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ.
We must have the mind of Christ to be able to accept the reality of the Spirit, the establishing of the Church of Christ was supposed to be completed by the guidance of the Holy Spirit, that's why the Lord told us, that the Spirit of truth would remind us and teach us all the truth; the world does not want to understand or accept the Christian doctrine, because it considers it foolishness, instead, they follow their own 'prophets', who love to be called, 'philosophers' and experts in humanism.
A natural man or 'person without the Spirit' can not understand what it mean to live for the honor of Christ because he is not of the same spirit, he is not able to understand the Scripture, neither the spiritual principles; even though he could look at them and read them just as literature, he is incapable of applying them in the love and faith of Christ.
