Los siete dones del Espíritu Santo.
(Isaias 11:1) Saldrá una rama del tronco de Jesé un retoño brotará de sus raíces. Sobre él reposará el espíritu del Señor: espíritu de sabiduría y de inteligencia, espíritu de consejo y de fortaleza, espíritu de ciencia y de temor del Señor y lo inspirará el temor del Señor.
Él no juzgará según las apariencias ni decidirá por lo que oiga decir: juzgará con justicia a los débiles
y decidirá con rectitud para los pobres del país; herirá al violento con la vara de su boca
y con el soplo de sus labios hará morir al malvado. La justicia ceñirá su cintura y la fidelidad ceñirá sus caderas.
Sabiduría, entendimiento, consejería, fortaleza, conocimiento, temor a Dios y piedad. Es lo que la Iglesia Católica llama los siete dones del Espíritu Santo. Y quien es el que posee todos estos dones juntos? Ningún otro que el hijo de David, hijo de María la Virgen, es Jesús de Nazareth. Comenzamos este capítulo citando a (Isaias 11:1) en donde se describe la totalidad del Espíritu de Dios manifestado en la persona de Cristo, el profeta anuncia cómo el Espíritu de Dios se manifestaría en todo su esplendor por medio de la Segunda Persona de la Santísima Trinidad, atestiguando así la perfecta unión entre el Padre, el Hijo y el Espíritu; Jesús ejecuta toda su misión siempre comunicándose con el Padre y movido por el Espíritu.
Aunque hoy no definiré cada uno de los siete dones del Espíritu, ilustraré sin embargo el significado de lo que es temor a Dios, por medio de ejemplos: cuando tomamos a un niño tierno en nuestros brazos lo hacemos con sumo cuidado, y queremos cerciorarnos que el bebe no sufrirá ningún daño, este tipo de temor, no tiene nada que ver con el miedo, mas bien tiene que ver con nuestra forma de conducirnos alrededor de tan frágil personita.
Otro ejemplo sería la forma que utilizamos la electricidad, a como saben los electricistas trabajan con muchísimo cuidado con alambres que conducen electricidad, ellos no tienen miedo, mas bien mucha precaución, porque cualquier error puede ser fatal, o por lo menos dañino.
No estamos supuestos a sentir miedo de nuestro Padre celestial, pero, nuestra reverencia hacia El debe ser de lo máximo y genuina, nunca debemos de tomarnos familiaridades irreverentes con Dios y bajo ninguna circunstancia tomar a Dios a la ligera.
Respetan ustedes al juez cuando van a la corte de justicia? Pues bien, Dios es mucho mas digno e infinitamente honorable que cualquier magistrado civil, y si respetamos a hombres, pues con mucha mas razón debemos de respetar a Dios Todopoderoso.
Es tan importante nuestra relación con el Espíritu, que Cristo nos lo demuestra durante toda su vida a como lo podemos ver en: (Lucas 1:35), Jesús fue engendrado por el Espíritu, bautizado por el Espíritu(Juan 1:32), guiado por el Espíritu (Lucas 4:1), ungido por el Espíritu (Lucas 4:18; Hechos 10:38), empoderado (llenado de poder) por el Espíritu(Mateo 12:27), resucitado por el Espíritu (Romanos 8:11), y encomendó mandamientos por medio del Espíritu (Hechos 1:21).
Un solo Espíritu Santo y un solo Bautismo
(Efesios 4:1) “Os exhorto, pues, yo, preso por el Señor, a que viváis de una manera digna de la vocación con que habéis sido llamados, con toda humildad, mansedumbre y paciencia, soportándolos unos a otros por amor, poniendo empeño en conservar la unidad del Espíritu con el vínculo de la paz.
Un solo Cuerpo y un solo Espíritu, como una es la esperanza a que habéis sido llamados. Un solo Señor, una sola fe, un solo bautismo, un solo Dios y Padre de todos, que está sobre todos, por todos y en todos.”
“Si uno no nace del agua y del Espíritu, no puede entrar en el Reino de Dios.” (Juan 3:5) “Debes de nacer de nuevo.” (Juan 3:7) Por medio del bautismo, renacemos espiritualmente, porque el Espíritu que fue rechazado por Adam y Eva, regresa a estar en nosotros, somos ungidos esta vez con el Espíritu de Cristo quien vino a redimirnos, y se cumple que somos ahora bautizados con fuego y con el Espíritu.
Es importante saber que somos bautizados una sola vez, y si alguna vez has oído a gente que dice que han 'renacido de nuevo' mas de una vez, pues están hablando tonterías, porque nacemos sólo una vez natural y espiritualmente, a como nos lo confirma Pablo en el versículo anterior.
El Espíritu nos convierte o nos integra en un solo cuerpo, en el cual cada miembro contribuye de acuerdo a los dones que ha recibido y los talentos que se le han dado, para el bien del pueblo de Dios. (1 Corintios 12:13) “Porque en un solo Espíritu hemos sido todos bautizados, para no formar más que un cuerpo, judíos y griegos, esclavos y libres. Y todos hemos bebido de un solo Espíritu. Así también el cuerpo no se compone de un solo miembro, sino de muchos.”
Como creyentes hemos recibido el Espíritu, el cual nos hace receptivos a la voluntad del Padre, no basta con sólo leer la Biblia, sino que ademas debemos de considerarla en espíritu de humildad como la palabra de Dios que es, debemos hacerlo meditando y en oración, pedirle al Espíritu que nos motive, que nos enseñe a entender la palabra, pero mas que nada a creer y sentir la presencia divina y el amor de Cristo.
Sin el Espíritu Santo no Podemos comprender las Escrituras
Una persona puede ser muy inteligente y un experto en cierta materia, pero cuando se trata de las cosas espirituales, solamente el Espíritu de Dios puede correctamente instruirnos en lo relacionado al Reino de Dios; a como tampoco no todos los graduados universitarios, entienden o aprecian la música clásica o las pinturas de los grandes maestros, por qué no? Porque es necesario, tener el ojo y el oído entrenados para apreciar las bellas artes, o por lo menos ser un iniciado en ellas, de lo contrario, la belleza clásica no es mas que garabatos y música para dormir, para todos aquellos que no sienten o entienden la belleza expresada tanto en la música a como en las pinturas de los maestros del arte.
(Juan 14:25) "Os he dicho estas cosas estando entre vosotros. Pero el Paráclito, el Espíritu Santo, que el Padre enviará en mi nombre, os lo enseñará todo y os recordará todo lo que yo os he dicho."
El Espíritu Santo controlando el mal
Todos estamos llamados a ser santos, pero no todos aprendemos a someternos al Espíritu, o a reaccionar positívamente a sus inspiraciones y motivación, quizás sea esta la causa principal de toda la corrupción y desenfreno que existe hoy en día en el mundo entero, o sea, que si sólo unos pocos creyentes aprenden a llenarse del Espíritu, por medio de oración, ayuno y devoción, se cumplen las palabras del apóstol Pablo que nos dice: (2 Tesalonicenses 2:7) “Porque el ministerio de la impiedad ya está actuando. Tan sólo con que sea quitado de en medio el que ahora le retiene.”
Entre mas ignoremos y rechacemos el Espíritu de Dios, mas aumentara la impiedad (corrupción y desenfreno) por todo el mundo, la prueba la tienes con sólo leer un periódico para darte cuenta como la corrupción, la degeneración, deshonestidad y toda clase de pecados están como desencadenados por todo el globo terráqueo, y en todos los niveles sociales.
Lo que el mundo necesita hoy en día es que todos tengamos al Espíritu en nuestro corazón, porque sólo enseñanzas morales sin Dios no es suficiente, uno se puede conducir decentemente pero hasta cierto punto, porque cuando se trata de ejercer la 'piedad', quedamos cortos, ya que esta no depende de códigos moralistas, es decir que nos volvemos como máquinas que actúan sólo de cierta manera y nada mas, por ejemplo: cuando ahora llamas a ciertas compañias te contesta una máquina que ha sido programada a darte opción “1” , o “2” , o “3”, pero que pasa si ninguna de las opciones te satisfacen, o son la apropiada para tu caso?
Probablemente la máquina te colgará la llamada, o te mandará en un circulo sin salida al comienzo de la única rutina con que la máquina ha sido programada; o piensa que pasa con un policía que te pezca cometiendo una infracción de tráfico, igual que un robot él solo sabe aplicar la ley, y no importa cuanta explicación le des, no te va a escuchar, te dará la multa o ticket y dará la vuelta sin tomarte en cuenta; pero cuando vas a la corte, el juez escuchará tus explicaciones, considerará todos los hechos, y movido no sólo por la ley escrita, sino también aplicando principios de jurisprudencia, decidirá si te exonera, o por lo menos te rebaja el monto de la multa.
El juez no está limitado, contrario al policía él poseé una educación que lo entrenó a usar su capacidad deductiva y a considerar otros elementos para dar un veredicto; mientras que el policía sólo esta capacitado para hacer cumplir la ley; pues es así tambien cuando el Espíritu Santo controla nuestras acciones, entonces no sólo dependemos de nuestra inteligencia natural, sino que ahora somos auxiliados por la inteligencia divina, y podriamos decir que estamos iluminados por la gracia.
El gobierno puede pasar todas las leyes que se le ocurra, pero eso no garantiza la seguridad y vida tranquila de sus ciudadanos, a menos que tengamos la ley de Dios escrita en nuestro corazón, y a menos que seamos movidos por el Espíritu Santo, actuaremos simplemente como robots (autómatas), o como humanoides domesticados.
La ausencia del Espíritu en nosotros, es lo que San Pablo describe en: (1 Corintios 13:1) “Aunque hablara las lenguas de los hombres y de los ángeles, si no tengo caridad (amor, charite), soy como bronce que suena o címbalo que retiñe.
Aunque tuviera el don de profecía, y conociera todos los misterios y toda la
ciencia; aunque tuviera plenitud de fe como para trasladar montañas, si no tengo caridad (amor, charite), nada soy.Aunque repartiera todos mis bienes, y entregara mi cuerpo a las llamas, si no tengo amor (ágape), nada me aprovecha.”
Requisito Principal para llenarnos del Espíritu Santo
Si no tenemos el Espíritu Santo en nosotros, no podemos ser buenos Cristianos. El requisito principal para obtener, o llenarnos del Espíritu, es la humildad, y antes de continuar, déjenme darles una idea de lo que es la humildad Cristiana. Recuerdan que nuestro Señor nos dijo: “Jesús llamó a un niño, lo puso en medio de ellos y dijo: "Les aseguro que si ustedes no cambian o no se hacen como niños, no entrarán en el Reino de los Cielos. Por lo tanto, el que se haga pequeño (humilde) como este niño, será el más grande en el Reino de los Cielos.” (Mateo 18:1)?
NOTA Con frecuencia confundimos la pobreza material de los destituidos de la tierra, con la humildad, en realidad, muchas personas pobres se humillan (se postran en señal de sumisión) ante los demás, para poder sobrevivir, o para conseguir favores que les podrían dar el pan que en ese momento necesitan. La humildad en sí no es sinónimo de miseria, es mas bien una aceptación de la realidad que somos, dependientes de la gracia de Dios y de nadie mas.
Todos sabemos que los niñitos no son engreídos, arrogantes, prejuiciados, pretenciosos, altaneros, creídos, orgullosos, para mencionar algunas características negativas; en cambio sabemos que los niños entre otras cosas son: condescendientes, sumisos, mansos, confiados, de mente abierta, no guardan rencores, sencillos, y tratan a todas las personas por igual sin distinción de color o apariencia.
El origen de la palabra 'humildad', tiene mucho que ver con la simplicidad en sí,y si no lo saben el origen de la palabra 'humildad' es 'humus', que significa barro, o suelo fértil, el cual es muy apreciado por los agricultores, y sin el cual la vida no sería posible.
Una persona humilde es aquella que ademas de tener las caracterízticas que ya hemos mencionado, reconoce que es nada mas que una creatura de Dios y se postra ante El, pues es consiente que nosotros somos nada sin la voluntad del Señor. Piensen en la Virgen María, ella se humilló ante Dios y dijo: “He aquí la esclava del Señor, hágase en mi de acuerdo a tu palabra.” (Lucas 1:38)
Ella se reconoció como una pobre servidora del Altísimo igual que hizo Juan el Bautista quien dijo: (Juan 3:30) “Es preciso que él crezca y que yo disminuya. El que viene de arriba está por encima de todos: el que es de la tierra, es de la tierra y habla de la tierra. El que viene del cielo, da testimonio de lo que ha visto y oído, y su testimonio nadie lo acepta. El que acepta su testimonio certifica que Dios es veraz. Porque aquel a quien Dios ha enviado habla las palabras de Dios, porque da el Espíritu sin medida”
Piensen en Jesús quien es humilde de corazón, manso y tierno; El no utilizó sus poderes para sobornar a nadie a seguirlo, ni para deslumbrar a la gente para que lo admiraran como un superhéroe, no, el mas bien se dedicó a glorificar al Padre y a servir a sus hermanos los hombres.
Eres tu orgulloso (arrogante), engreído, egoísta o vano? Entonces por favor, hazte humilde de corazón, date cuenta que nadie es auto-suficiente o indispensable, excepto Dios nuestro Padre. Vete a un cementerio en cualquier país del mundo y encontraras ahí muchas tumbas de muchos que en su tiempo se consideraron indispensables, que quizás eran arrogantes, orgullosos y sin bondad.
Nunca veas a nadie con desdén, respeta la dignidad de todas las personas aunque no tengan una 'posición' de prestigio en la sociedad, y recuerda que nuestro Señor nos dijo: "Les aseguro que cada vez que hicieron algo bueno con el más pequeño (humilde, de baja posición) de mis hermanos, lo hicieron conmigo". (Mateo 25:40)
Oración por la ayuda del Espíritu Santo
O Dios envía tu Espíritu Santo a mi corazón
para que sea yo perceptivo,
a mi mente, para que siempre te recuerde,
a mi alma para tener la capacidad de meditar.
Inspírame a hablar con piedad,
santidad, ternura y misericordia.
Enseñame, guíame y dirige mis pensamientos
y mis sentidos desde el comienzo hasta el fin.
Que tu gracia siempre me ayude y
me corrija, y que sea yo fortalecido con
tu sabiduría celestial, por por tu amor y divina
misericordia. Amen (San Antonio de Padua)
Una vez que nos hayamos hecho humildes (humillado ante Dios), debemos de creer y tener mucha fe en Dios, no sigas ciegamente a los gurus del "evangelio de la prosperidad," los que te prometen que te volverás rico si le das tu dinero a sus 'iglesias', o a los que pregonan que para ser una persona exitosa todo lo que tienes que hacer es pensar positivamente y nada mas; pues si eso fuese cierto, no crees que Jesús no nos lo habría dicho?
Ora mucho, mucho, mucho, trabaja duro y diligentemente, con honestidad y propósito, dona lo mas que puedas a la iglesia a la cual perteneces, y haz todo por amor a Dios sin pensar en lo que tu sacarás de ello para provecho propio. Te aseguro que Dios siempre bendecirá todas tus buenas obras e intensiones.
En el próximo capítulo, hablaremos de los dones y regalos del Espíritu, las virtudes y gracias que se nos otorgan como seguidores de Cristo. Por favor lean la Biblia, vayan a misa, estudien su Catecismo de la Iglesia Católica y recen el Rosario aunque sea una vez a la semana, y hagan una hora de adoración al Santísimo tan a menudo a como sea posible.

The seven gifts of the Spirit
(Isaiah 11:1) But a shoot shall sprout from the stump of Jesse, and from his roots a bud shall blossom. The spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him: a spirit of wisdom and of understanding, A spirit of counsel and of strength, a spirit of knowledge and of fear of the LORD, and his delight shall be the fear of the LORD.
Not by appearance shall he judge, nor by hearsay shall he decide, But he shall judge the poor with justice, and decide aright for the land's afflicted. He shall strike the ruthless with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips he shall slay the wicked. Justice shall be the band around his waist, and faithfulness a belt upon his hips.
Wisdom, understanding, counsel, strength, knowledge, fear of the LORD and judgment with justice ( piety). Are what the holy Catholic church calls, 'the seven gifts of the Spirit. And who is it that has the seven gifts or the fullness of the Spirit in Him? Not other that the Son of David, the son of the holy Virgin Mary, Jesus of Nazareth. We started this section by quoting (Isaiah 11:1), because, it describes the fullness of the Spirit manifested in the person of Christ, the prophet announces how the the Spirit will be manifested in all his splendor in the person of Jesus the Second Person of the Holy Trinity, testifying this way the perfect union among the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit; we see how Jesus fulfills his mission by keeping a constant communication with the Father and always moved by the Spirit.
The meaning of the 'fear of the Lord' is not what some people might think it is, the best way to illustrate it, is with an example: when you hold a little baby in your arms, you are mindful to use great care, and want to make sure, that the baby, would suffer no harm; this type of fear has nothing to do with been scared, it's got to do with the way we behave around such a tender little person; the other example is the way we handle electricity, as you know an electrician, works with great care and makes sure he does not make any mistakes or becomes too careless around a live pair of wires, he is not afraid, but, he exercises maximum caution, because any distraction might be fatal or at least harmful.
We are not supposed to be afraid of our heavenly Father, but our reverence toward Him should be of the out-most genuine respect toward Him; we should never exercise any type of irreverent familiarity with the Lord, and under no circumstance believe that He is to be taken lightly. Do you treat a judge with respect when you go to court? Well, God is far more honorable than any human judge, and if we don't dare to take liberties with a civil magistrate, we should neither do it with the Almighty God.
Our relation with the Spirit is so important that Jesus shows us its importance by example during all his life, as we see in: (Luke 1:35) Jesus was begotten by the Spirit, He was baptized by the Spirit (John 1:32), led by the Spirit (Luke 4:1), anointed by the Spirit (Luke 4:18; Acts 10:38), and empowered by the Spirit (Matt. 12:27); we see how He was raised by the Spirit from the dead (Romans 8:11) and gave commandments by the Spirit (Acts 1:21).
One Spirit and one baptism
(Ephesians 4:1) I, then, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to live in a manner worthy of the call you have received, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another through love, striving to preserve the unity of the spirit through the bond of peace: one body and one Spirit, as you were also called to the one hope of your call; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.
“Unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he can not enter into the kingdom of God.” (John 3:7) “You must be born again.”(John 3:7) When we are baptized we are born again, because the Spirit that was rejected by Adam and Eve, is back in us, we are anointed this time with the Spirit of Jesus who came to redeemed us, we are baptized in fire and the Spirit. We are baptized only once, and if you hear some people saying, that they have been reborn again and again, it is just absolute nonsense, we are born naturally only once, and spiritually only once, Paul confirms this, in the previous verse.
The Church as we have seen was inaugurated by the Spirit, and the same Spirit makes of all of us one body, in which each member contributes with his own gifts and talents for the good of all the people of God. (1Corinthians 12:13) “For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body (the church), whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit. For the body is not one member, but many.”
We as believers, receive the Spirit and are made receptive to the will of the Father, but, it is not enough to read the Bible if we arrogantly consider it as just another book of old stories, and moral principles; we have to consider it, in a spirit of humility as the Word of God, and in meditation and in prayer, ask the Holy Spirit to move us and to teach us to understand, but, most of all to believe and feel the divine presence and love of Christ.
We need the Spirit to understand the Scriptures
A person could be very smart and an expert in some subject, but when it comes to spiritual matters only the Spirit of God could correctly instruct us in the things of the kingdom; not all college graduates understand or appreciate
classical music or the paintings of the masters, why? Because you must have the eyes and ears for it, you must at least be an initiated person, otherwise, the beauty of the classics is for you, just doodles and noise.(John 14:25) "I have told you this while I am with you. The Advocate, the holy Spirit that the Father will send in my name he will teach you everything and remind you of all that I told you."
The Holy Spirit controls lawlessness
All of us are called to be saints, but, not all of us learn to submit to the Spirit or to respond to the moves (prodding) or inspirations, from the Sanctifier, maybe this is the principal cause of all the lawlessness in the world today, in other words, if only few believers learn to be filled with the Spirit through prayer, fasting and devotion, then the words of the apostle Paul are fulfilled when He tells us in (2 Thessalonians 2:7) “For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way.”
The more we ignore and reject the Spirit of God, the more lawlessness, increases in the world, all you have to do, is read the paper, and see how corruption, degeneration, dishonesty and all kind of sins are rampant through out the world and at all levels of society.
Today what is lacking worldwide, is the Spirit in our hearts; just moral teachings is not enough; you could conduct yourself with decency but to a point; when it comes to exercising “piety”, which does not depend on any human moral code, we would fall short, and act like just a machine; you have probably experience that when you talk to an automated attendant or receptionist, you only have a couple of choices to make, either press “1” or “2” or “3”; but what happens when the choice you are looking for is not there?
You are probably disconnected or send back to the beginning of the only routine the machine has in its program; or think of a policeman, when he stops you on the road, he is like a robot that only knows to enforce the law, if you commit an infraction, he will give you a ticket, it does not matter how much explaining you do, he will just not listen; but when you go to court, the judge will hear your explanation, consider all the facts, and driven not only by the letter of the law, but applying jurisprudence, he will either exonerate you or give you a lesser fine.
The judge is not limited, contrary to the cop, he's been educated to use his deductive capacity, and to consider other facts and elements; whereas the cop is trained only to enforce the letter of the law; similarly to the judge in our example, when we are controlled by the Holy Spirit our intelligence is boosted by the divine intelligence,we could say that we are illumined by grace.
The government can write as many laws as they want, but that doesn't guarantee the safety and well being of its citizens, unless the law of God is written in our hearts, unless we are driven by the Holy Spirit, we are either close to been robots, or domesticated humanoids.
The lack of the Spirit in us, is what St. Paul describes in: (1 Corinthians 13:1) “If I speak in human and angelic tongues but do not have love, I am a resounding gong or a clashing cymbal.
And if I have the gift of prophecy and comprehend all mysteries and all knowledge; if I have all faith so as to move mountains but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give away everything I own, and if I hand my body over so that I may boast but do not have love, I gain nothing.”
Main requisite to be filled with the Spirit
We must have the Holy Spirit in us, we can not be good Catholics, if we lack the Spirit of Christ. Again, the first requirement to obtain the fullness of the Spirit, is humility, and before continuing, let me give you an idea of what Christian humility is; do you remember that our Lord told us: "Amen, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.” (Matt. 18:1)?
NOTE Usually we confuse the words humble or humility with the poverty of the destitute people of the earth, it is true that the poor children of God sometimes bow or humble themselves in front of others, just to survive, or to get a favor; but,we should not confuse that condition with true humility, which means the recognition of our dependence on God, and that we are His creatures.
We all know that little children are not conceded, arrogant, sophisticated, prejudiced, pretentious, proud,snobbish and stuck-up to say a few characteristics; instead they are yielding, demure, lowly, submissive, meek, trusting, unassuming and open minded among other things.
As the origin of the word humility says, it has to do with simplicity in itself, and if you don't know, the origin of humility is the word “humus”, which means clay, or the good soil of the earth, that good soil, so much appreciated by the farmers, and without which, life would not exist.
Think of the Virgin Mary, she humbled herself and said: "Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word." (Lk. 1:38) She considered herself a lowly servant of God, and so did John the Baptist, they didn't considered themselves important, but humble servants of the Most High God.
Think of Jesus, so humble, meek and sweet; He didn't use His power to bribed anybody to follow Him, or to dazzle the multitudes, instead He glorified God, and served his brothers.
Prayer for the Help of the Holy Spirit
O God, send forth your Holy Spirit into my heart that I may perceive, into my mind that I may remember, and into my soul that I may meditate. Inspire me to speak with piety, holiness, tenderness and mercy. Teach, guide and direct my thoughts and senses from beginning to end. May your grace ever help and correct me, and may I be strengthened now with wisdom from on high, for the sake of your infinite mercy. Amen.
Saint Anthony of Padua
Are you proud, conceded, egotistic or vain? Then please, humble yourself, realize that nobody is self sufficient or indispensable, but God. Go to any cementery in the world and you'll see the graves of many people that in their time, were, proud, arrogant and who probably thought themselves indispensable.
Don't look at anybody with disdain, respect the dignity of every person and think of Jesus, remember his words: 'Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.' (Matthew 25:40)
Once we humble ourselves, we must believe and must have faith, don't blindly follow the 'gurus' of 'how to become rich overnight,' or the ones that tell you, that all you have to do to be successful is to think positive, and that's it; if that is true, then why didn't Jesus , told us so? Pray, pray, pray then work diligently, hard and honestly, never take advantage of the poor and simple, pay to the workers their just and fair salary, and donate as much as you can to your local church, do everything for the love of God, and not thinking what you'll get out of it for yourself. God will always bless your good work and intentions.
In the next chapter, we will talk about the gifts, virtues and the life in the Spirit. Please read your bibles, go to mass, read the Catechism of the Catholic Church and pray the Rosary at least once a week, and do one hour of holy adoration as often as you can.
